Digital Collaboration Across Continents

Legacy celebrated the completion of the ‘Revive and Thrive – Digital Collaboration Across Continents’ project on November 23, 2021. The British Deputy High Commissioner Mr Ben Llewellyn-Jones was the guest of honour. The project in partnership with British Council Wales, INTO and the National Trust UK. aims to help improve the display and interpretation of the railway, architectural and photo collections at Jaekel House, one of the historic buildings within the historic Railway Compound in Lagos.

The collaboration provided guidance on best curatorial practices to connect the heritage/arts relationship. Sayo Ajetunmobi, an artist, storyteller and illustrator of children books created digital and physical artwork for the museum to bring new visitors into the mini-museum, and engage a younger generation.

Akintunde Akinleye, a professional photographer and photojournalist, led the curation to improve the displays and collections, enhance the visitor experience and further Legacy’s aims and objectives to promote heritage and history in Nigeria.
